B&B Canto degli Aranci is situated in the heart of the city, in the historic Santa Croce area. Step out into the magical atmosphere of Florence, and visit everything on foot. Housed in a 19th-century palazzo, our bed and breakfast is immersed in the wonders of the Centro Storico and is right above the Teatro Verdi. Choose to stay with us for a weekend getaway or a holiday and you’ll be within easy reach of all the main landmarks and museums, as well as traditional restaurants, the trendiest clubs and bars on the Florentine nightlife scene, and the most prestigious artisan boutiques.
‘Battipalla’ was the name given in the 16th century to the marble disks on the facades of the two buildings on Piazza Santa Croce. They marked the central line of the pitch where historic ‘Calcio Fiorentino’ football is still played today.
